Covario now offers metaverse-linked tokens Loopring (LRC) and ApeCoin (APE)
Covario is pleased to announce that we now offer ApeCoin (APE) and Loopring (LRC) custody and trading as client demand increases for NFT and gaming-linked coins
April, 2022 — Communities within the gaming and NFT industries are fast-growing, and ApeCoin (APE) and Loopring (LRC) are bringing exclusive access, enhanced connectivity and better security to users. Covario is pleased to announce that we now offer these two coins for custody and trading on our Trading Portal and Terminal.
Driven by cultural expressions like art, gaming, entertainment, and events, APE and LRC are tokens made to support the growth of the metaverse and gaming industries.
ApeCoin (APE)
ApeCoin holders get to vote on governance, use ecosystem fund in the ApeCoin Dao, and gain distinctive access to specific parts of the APE ecosystem such as exclusive games, merchandise, events and services, which are otherwise not accessible. ApeCoin is an ERC-20 utility and governance token that powers the APE NFT ecosystem and supports a decentralized system that contributes to the growth of the Web3 economy. The parent organization, Yuga Labs created “Bored Ape Yacht Club,” a project powered by ApeCoin that consists of 10,000 ape-themed NFTs with distinct attributes. Yuga Labs owns three of the most prominent NFT brands on the market and has raised $450 million in funding to build an NFT metaverse.
Loopring (LRC)
Loopring has a partnership with gaming industry giant GameStop (GME). While accessibility has been a big challenge in the NFT space due to speed and high costs, Loopring will provide GME with their Loopring Layer-2 protocols which assures the trust between exchanges and blockchains, allowing the users to retain custody of their funds. GME will offer their users the most powerful digital property rights and affordable access to NFT through Loopring’s Layer 2 technology. The Loopring token (LRC) is the Loopring protocol’s native token and is used to pay fees on Loopring L2. The NFT marketplace from GameStop is set to launch in the second quarter of 2022.
Both Loopring (LRC) and ApeCoin (APE) can now be traded directly from Covario’s in-house built trading app/portal.
