Covario AG partners with leading Swiss university to drive educational opportunities in FinTech
Notably in partnership with EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), Covario participated in Start-Up Day 2021 and will speak at the upcoming Finance and Technology Conference 2021 on Crypto-assets and Asset Tokenization while fostering its ongoing Internship program
Switzerland — Covario AG is investing more in cognitive computing and data science in the realm of FinTech. Alongside its in-house ventures of quantitative research and the technology internship program, Covario is partnering with EPFL, leading technology university in Switzerland, to cultivate a future-ready workforce.
Several EPFL alumni have joined Covario AG’s Research and Technology teams to spearhead innovation in the relatively new world of digital assets — including EPFL’s top-graduating Ph.D. recipients and guest lecturer as the company’s Head of Quantitative Research, etc. Through their alma mater, Covario has become involved with several initiatives hosted by EPFL, including Start-Up Day 2021 on 5th October.
The next major event to note, is the upcoming Finance and Technology Conference 2021 on Crypto-assets and Asset Tokenization on 5th November, where Covario will give a presentation along with global leaders from MIT University, Swiss National Bank, Facebook-backed digital currency project Diem, Taurus Crypto Services Inc. and more. Covario AG will cover the topic of “Trading and Trends of Digital Assets” at the conference.
Mark Banner, Founder and CEO of Covario, commented: “We are exceptionally proud to be supporting the various initiatives hosted by EPFL, a leading university in Switzerland dedicated to cultivating tomorrow’s leaders in science and technology. Through our involvement, Covario aims to equip up-and-coming talent in our communities with the opportunities and resources they may need to navigate and succeed in an emerging industry, such as financial technology.”
The events, organised by the EPFL, are specifically hosted by the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) at EPFL and the Swissquote Chair in Quantitative Finance, part of the national center dedicated to advancing research, teaching and knowledge transfer in the field of quantitative finance. The events are also supported by the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT), an EPFL-housed alliance group focused on building trusted technologies in the digital world. Through these events, Covario AG aims to educate, inspire and connect with talented graduates interested in developing their careers in the financial technology sector.
Covario has hired 20% of its employees, including technology interns, from leading universities in Switzerland.
